In this edition, the registers of varieties and hybrids of plants permitted for use in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic as of 1 January 2026 are presented. Besides, This edition includes the List of new varieties and hybrids of agricultural crops, recognized as promising for use in 2026.

Lists of varieties and hybrids by genus and species are arranged alphabetically, species and genera are grouped into groups of crops in order of their economic importance.

By varieties, entered in the State Register, the following data are given: the serial number, the name of the variety; year of inclusion in the State Register; number of the region, in which the variety is allowed to be used; number of the originator of the variety (Annex 2); the economic and biological characteristics of the variety are indicated for the individual crops, indicated by the corresponding codes (Annex 1).

The ® badge marks the varieties, Protected by patents. Patent holders of these varieties in accordance with the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic On the legal protection of selection achievements shall enjoy the exclusive right to use them.

According to the main varieties and types , the use of varieties and hybrids shall be made in 7 regions (Annex 3), and for the rest in general in the Kyrgyz Republic (these varieties are indicated in the column Regions of admission with the symbol *).

The inclusion and exclusion of varieties and hybrids from the State Register is carried out on the recommendations of the Department for Agricultural Cultures and Horticulture, approved by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and processing industry of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan On seeds the presence of the variety in the State Register gives the right to breed, import and sell seeds and planting material of the variety in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. The seeds and planting material of these varieties shall be certified and shall be issued with appropriate documents certifying their variety purity, origin and planting qualities. Recommendations for the selection of varieties from the number allowed for use in the relevant region for specific soil and climate conditions are prepared on the basis of the results of the tests, the state sports stations and state sports venues, located in the main regions of the Kyrgyz Republic, whose addresses and telephone numbers are given in Annex 4.
