Kyrgyz-German political consultations took place

<p style="text-align: justify"><span>On 22 January 2026, the next round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany was held in Bishkek.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify"><span>The Kyrgyz delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Meder Abakirov, while the German delegation was led by Niklas Wagner, Special Envoy of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany for Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus and Central Asia.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify"><span>During the consultations, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Kyrgyz–German cooperation in the political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, as well as topical issues of multilateral cooperation and the regional and international agenda.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify"><span>The Deputy Minister informed the German side about the socio-economic development of the Kyrgyz Republic and the efforts being undertaken to strengthen relevant processes in the country. In this context, he emphasized the importance of further expanding Kyrgyz–German cooperation in all areas of mutual interest and noted the need to maintain regular political dialogue at high and highest levels through the exchange of mutual visits and the holding of joint events.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify"><span>For his part, Niklas Wagner exdivssed satisfaction with the steady development of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Germany and confirmed the readiness of the German side to further deepen Kyrgyz–German relations.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify"><span>Following the consultations, the parties noted the constructive nature of the exchange of views on a wide range of bilateral and multilateral issues, emphasizing that the implementation of the agreements reached would contribute to giving additional impetus to the further development of cooperation between the two countries.</span></p>
