To promote the sustainable development of a circular economy and the implementation of extended producer responsibility in the country, as well as to compile a digital registry of waste recyclers, the Ministry is actively licensing and supporting companies engaged in recycling—the conversion of waste into new raw materials or materials.

During the pre-licensing inspection, visits were made to companies recycling cardboard (paper), plastic, and textile waste, as well as producing polymer bags: Altyn Azhydaar LLC, Ellegiya LLC, Ak-Kayyn LLC, Profiks-Yug LLC, Dukastoms LLC, and Datka KG LLC.

These companies collect and recycle cardboard waste and wastepaper throughout the country into paper raw materials and corrugated cardboard for packaging. Textile (garment) waste is used to produce thermal felts, carpets, rugs, and many other products.

PET bottles are used to produce flexi-waste for export to other countries. Plastic bags and plastic waste are used to produce household plastic products such as buckets, plastic pipes, brushes, and other items.

The Ministry will continue to expand the scope of waste types, develop environmental entrepreneurship, support and provide state incentives for such green projects, and encourage the use of waste-free technologies, exclusively for licensed companies.

The Ministry will intensify its efforts in this area and requests that all waste recyclers obtain timely licenses for their activities to avoid administrative liability for violating environmental and licensing legislation in the Kyrgyz Republic.
