Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to China Aktilek Musaeva participated in a Reception marking the 25th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization

On June 15, 2026, in Beijing, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the People’s Republic of China Aktilek Musaeva participated in a ceremonial reception dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), organized by the SCO Secretariat.

The event was attended by Mr. Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, and Nurlan Yermekbayev, Secretary-General of the SCO, who delivered congratulatory remarks on the occasion of the anniversary.

The reception also brought together heads of diplomatic missions of SCO member states, observer states and dialogue partners, senior officials of Chinese government agencies, representatives of international organizations, the business community, public associations, the expert community, as well as Chinese and foreign media representatives.

As part of the event, a photo exhibition dedicated to the history and development of the Organization was presented, along with a display of the SCO Demonstration Base for Agricultural Technology Exchange and Training in Yangling. Guests also enjoyed a cultural program featuring performances by a children’s artistic group and a presentation showcasing the capabilities of Chinese robotics.

For reference: In 2026, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization celebrates its 25th anniversary. The Kyrgyz Republic serves as the Chair State of the SCO for the 2025–2026 period.
