On 17 November 2025, a working meeting took place at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Lesotho in the Republic of India between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic Askar Beshimov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Lesotho Lebohang Valentine Mochaba.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Kyrgyz-Lesotho cooperation, noting the potential for expanding interaction in the political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, as well as within international organizations.

Special attention was paid to issues of sustainable development of mountainous states. The Ambassadors emphasized the common interests of Kyrgyzstan and Lesotho as countries with predominantly mountainous terrain and confirmed their readiness to promote relevant initiatives on the international stage.

L.V.Mochaba positively noted the initiatives of the Kyrgyz Republic aimed at advancing the interests of mountainous states in the international arena. In turn, A.Beshimov underlined the openness of the Kyrgyz side to further expanding cooperation with Lesotho, including the development of new forms of partnership.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain regular dialogue and continue coordination on issues of mutual interest
