As part of the state visit of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Kyrgyz Republic, a signing ceremony for a number of bilateral documents aimed at strengthening Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, and humanitarian spheres took place today, July 30.

The heads of state signed the Treaty on Alliance Relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The following documents were also signed:

- Treaty between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan on a section of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz State Border.

- Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the joint use of the Chechme (Chashma) Spring.

- Protocol on Amendments and Supplements to the Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on State Border Checkpoints, dated July 24, 2004.

- Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on State Social Insurance and Pension Provision.

- Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Mutual Travel of Citizens, dated October 3, 2006.

- Agreement between the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Cooperation.

- Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Resort and Recreational Facilities Located in the Issyk-Kul Region of the Kyrgyz Republic, dated July 18, 2024.
